Might as well start at the beginning. Don't know why I didn't start this before!
Today's tip actually comes from my good friend Jennifer Roland who has been cleaning houses for nearly 10 years! She showed me in her own house how she uses swiffer 360 dusting products to dust the surfaces in her house.
You don't even have to have the handle! Just take out the pads, fluff them up, and dust! The best part about these babies is that you can cover a large area in a short amount of time AND you can trap a lot of dust!
*you don't have to use swiffer brand! Any off brand will do. You can also use the dry floor wipe refills.
Most of the wipes are launderable at least once and if you leave out the fabric softner, then they become super charged with static electricity which aids in collecting dust! I often use these to wipe down dusty trinkets, legs of chairs/stools/book shelves/furniture, electronics and their small dials.
***Depending on how dusty your house gets or if you have animals, you may want to dust every week up to just once a month. These products are especially good at removing what I call "sticky" cat hair from things! (See my future columns for the full description of sticky cat hair! Note: not all cat hair is sticky. ) They will not remove dust or hair from fabric like materials.
